So everyone is going on their summer vacations and I’m over here like, 3 more days of work until the weekend comes. I love vacationing during non-peak seasons/months, it’s not as busy and I don’t have to deal with huge crowds, long wait times, or high hotel rates…what’s there not to love? Oh yeah, the vacation FOMO you get when everyone is traveling and having fun on their summer vacations and you’re stuck at work. If I can’t be on vacation, I can at least reminisce! I have a bunch of vacation pictures that I haven’t posted from a few vacations so I’ve decided that I’m going to do a couple of posts on them 🙂
Here are some shots from my short trip to Nassau during my Bahamas birthday cruise several months ago.
The blue waters and cute lighthouse reminds me of a postcard you’d get from your vacationing friend. When I think of Nassau, this image always comes to mind. If you’re ever in Nassau, you can find this spot by walking past Senior Frog’s towards the beach just beyond all the restaurants and buildings and before the brightly colored stands on the beach.
How often do you see bright crayon-colored buildings when you’re out and about? Not often enough, I bet. I love fun, festive things with lots of character!
You can’t go to a white sand beach and not write in the sand so here’s my obligatory sand drawing, sorry for the cheesiness!
I love wearing rompers as opposed to swim cover-ups when I’m out at the beach. Swim cover-ups often have a undergarment-y feel to them; most of the time they aren’t a stand alone piece and are sheer! Rompers are extremely versatile, you can slip it off and hit the beach, then slip it back on and grab lunch or hit up some stores without looking like a tourist in your wet sheer swim cover-up at the souvenir shop.
If you’re feeling stressed out or overwhelmed at work, you should definitely take a vacation. Even if you can’t take the vacation right away, just the act of planning it and having that getaway to look forward to will put you in a slightly more positive mood. Let’s face it, how can be made if you’re going to be going on vacation soon?
