Got together with a friend at the Prado for happy hour and got some cute shots by their rose garden. We tried a bunch of items from their happy hour specials and my favorite were their truffle fries. I also loved their passionfruit spritzer which was refreshing and delicious!
Red Statement Pants
I love statement pieces so and these Red High Waist Pants by C/MEO from BluSandz Boutique are definitely a statement piece. When styling statement pieces you can go a few different ways. You can have 1 main statement piece and pair with a more toned down outfit or you can opt to go all the way and make it a Statement Outfit. Whichever you choose, it is important to make sure the whole look is balanced.
Balancing the Look
Incorporate Similar Colors
Red is such a vibrant and eye-catching color so it was important that I balanced the look by adding some splashes of red in the other pieces I wore. I went with my floral blouse because the red flowers and stripes in the blouse’s print.
Accessories to Tie the Whole Look Together
I topped the look off with the Gold Solar Eye Necklace. Shop necklace HERE
These gorgeous red C/MEO pants came with a matching wide red belt but I opted to switch it out for a gold chain belt instead. I went with a gold chain belt I’ve had for years because it tied the look together with the chain print on my blouse. Shop similar belt HERE.
Footwear, I opted for an open toe heel in gold to tie all the pieces together and add balance to the overall look as there are bit of gold in the top, middle, and lower portions of the look. Shop similar Gold Shoes HERE
Style and Make It Your Own
These are just some general things I do when I style statement pieces, they are not steadfast rules. Style and fashion is a form of self expression so it is important to make it your own. You can mix and match and switch out any colors or pieces you want to create your own statement looks using your favorite statement pieces.
